Stop the WA Government overreach- Newspaper advert- -Rally

This fund raiser is for significant newspaper coverage- I have already started on a small scale with advertising in the “Examiner” on 31st July edition, but I cannot personally fund more. Can you help?

As many recreational hunters, shooters and other outdoor enthusiasts may have seen, I started an e=Petition asking government to freeze enforcement of the Firearms Act 2024 whilst it is under review. With over 2,600 public submission this can take up to a year

In meantime shooters are subject to enforcement with huge stresses and loss of many of their firearms, hobby, rights and social activities. The petition is heading towards 20,000 signatures and I had many calls to do more.

This recognition of massive government overreach and restrictions without reason will filter down to all cultural aspects of farming, fishing, boating FWD access etc with beaches and national parks being closed to us.

I started a campaign to email government calling out these issues and calling for support of MLA Dr Brian Walker's Firearms Regulations Disallowance Motions on 14th August, including a Rally protest at Parliament on the same day.

These activities are out on social media already but to get maximum coverage and show both politicians and general public the social impacts and kick back against autocratic treatment being dished out there is a need to start a wider newspaper campaign and perhaps may even attract some TV media attention on the day.

Plan us to not only advertise the Rally etc but to publish real life stories of the social stresses and damage that is occurring to our activities, conservation damage and suffering of animals that euthanised with inhumane methods.

Unfortunately, this is very expensive as major newspaper advert cost tens of thousands and I also want to use regional press.

This fundraiser is to try and reach out goal quickly as we only have up to say 10th August to place paid adverts.
