STOP THE LONE PINE CANYON QUARRY – Support the Lone Pine Canyon Protection Alliance

Lone Pine Canyon is more than a stretch of land—it is a place of beauty, history, and life. It is home to wildlife, native plants, and a landscape that has remained largely untouched for generations.

Today, that is at risk.

A proposed project, the Lone Pine Canyon Road Quarry, would introduce large-scale industrial mining into this canyon—impacting approximately 285 acres and potentially operating for up to 148 years. This means blasting, heavy truck traffic, dust, noise, and permanent changes to a fragile and irreplaceable environment.

The impacts are far-reaching:

• Increased wildfire risk in a high fire zone

• Threats to a critical evacuation route for residents

• Harm to wildlife, including federally protected species like golden eagles

• Destruction of native habitat and plant life

• Air quality and health concerns for families and children

• Impacts to culturally and historically significant land

• Water Quality

We are a group of local residents who have come together for the same cause which is to STOP THE LONE PINE CANYON QUARRY. Our mission is to protect our community, our environment, and our future.

We are raising funds to:

• Hire legal and environmental experts to review the project

• Ensure proper environmental protections are enforced

• Organize community outreach and advocacy efforts

• Cover costs associated with public engagement and awareness

This is a grassroots effort—led by people who live here, raise families here, and deeply care about this land and love this town.
