I would like to raise money on behalf of my great childhood friend undergoing health treatments. In July Rebekah moved from Detroit, MI in hopes to start a new journey in life - fulfilling her God given purpose to create unique cuisine (Indi/Soul) in Houston, TX. Unable to secure work - largely due to COVID19 within her 1st month, in August Rebekah was diagnosed with diabetes.  In September she discovered she was also living with 3rd stage breast cancer. Rebekah immediately started chemotherapy (for the next 6 months) which will be followed by surgery, then radiation therapy.  Rebekah was recently approved for Medicare and is currently responding well to the chemo treatments. It is my hope to raise enough money for her to find a place where she can heal without being too much of a financial burden to her family members whom undoubtedly are very supportive.  The money will help defray certain medical costs and provide other necessities of life such as food, medicine and transportation. Rebkah’s faith in God and her spirits remain high in spite of what she must endure moving forward. Her trust in God is equally strong to lead her doctor’s mind/hands in treatment protocols.
