Stop the closure of Gallions Mount primary School

We are raising funds to save Gallions Mount Primary school and nursery from closing down, and seeing all current pupils at the school, having the educational needs badly disrupted and all the staff losing their jobs.

IF the school closes, this would have a very negative and unsettling effect on the current pupils, as well as parents having to find new schools for their children to attend, as well as possible extra travel time, and extra costs.

This school has served the local community since 1887, nearly 150 years, seeing thousands of pupils get an education, and have a successful life, from the early learning they all gained from attending Gallions Mount Primary school.

The old victorian school was replaced in 1977, with a more modern school, but sadly the school now requires some major repairs, and it's would be more cost effective to actually build a new, smaller school on the site of the old victorian school, which is currently a grassed area.

Like a lot of Schools in England, Gallions Mount has seen a reduction with its intake of new pupils in recent years due to various factors, including the expansion of other schools in the area.

All money raised, would go to paying any current debts, and to put a long term plan in place for the restructuring of the school, to include building a new modern school to house the current and future pupils.

We cannot allow this school to close! We cannot allow Greenwich council to build new houses on the site, which is a possibility once the school closes.

WE CANNOT ALLOW THIS SCHOOL TO DIE!!

We have a short deadline to meet this target, which is the 28th February 2025, to stop the gates from closing for the last time in July 2025!

PLEASE donate as much or as little as you are able to give, to stop this school closure becoming just another statistical number with previous closures.
