Little Coco's Story
This story consists of: A Vancouver puppy scammer, the importing of an underage puppy from an unethical South Korean breeder to Saudi Arabia via. Vancouver, Canada.
Coco has been under our care for 2 and a half months in Vancouver when it was originally supposed to be just a layover. The longer Coco stayed, the more apparent it became how unethical these people importing and exporting the puppy were.
The scammer and once friend Aziz kept extending Coco's stay due to their negligence and unpreparedness of her paperwork, and at one point even tried to sell the puppy for $4,000 after learning that the puppy was extremely sick in March.

She was sick because the vet requested that the exporter do extensive research on exactly what vaccines Coco needed to get into Saudi Arabia, to which the exporter said to give her everything important, and did not care to do the proper research on what was required.
This jeopardized the health and wellness of Coco due to taking too many vaccines. Later little Coco had to be put under IV treatment and required antibiotic medication twice a day, for the next week.
In the puppy’s sickest moments, while her owners were in discussion of abandoning her, we kept caring for her, feeding her medication, nursing her back to health, and making sure she stays hydrated. She stole our hearts and we even offered to buy Coco off them after discovering more of their unethical and negligent behavior towards the puppy.
As time when on, the puppy grew very close to us. The more they extended her stay, and we learned about their terrible treatment towards the puppy, we made an offer to adopt her.
The importer and exporter, Aziz working under his boss Anas, promised to pay us very well for our service and continuously highlighted the fact the owners paid $14,000 for her from South Korea, therefore her care is very important.

After two months we had enough of the delays and requested the exporter to make a serious inquire to the owner for an offer to buy Coco, which they responded with a $14,000 price tag to the people who have been taking care of her unconditionally, throughout their disorganization and negligence, without getting paid properly.
During the negotiation for payment, the scammer lied to us, saying he wanted to take Coco to the beach for a few hours, then return her that same night to resume negotiations. Because we were still friends at this point, we trusted him and did so. But the scammer ended up taking the puppy, refusing to pay for our service of 73 nights and blocked us on all social media without even letting us say goodbye or give her favorite toys.
We spoke with SPCA who suggested contacting the local police, they said it was a civil matter, therefore we are filing a claim against him for an unpaid service invoice. We are hoping to use the money to make a better offer for Coco if that is what it takes.
He’s not telling us anything or giving any updates on Coco since taking her away nine days ago. We are just restless and our hearts are breaking for Coco. We don't know what's going on, where she is, or when they plan on shipping her out of Canada.

The Saudi Arabian treatment of dogs is very poor, dogs in Saudi Arabia are not allowed to be in public areas, such as beaches, parks, or streets, and can only be imported as working dogs to be kept exclusively at home. My boyfriend and I want to raise money to fight for Coco to stay in Canada with us. The only people who seem to care about her in this terrible situation, and to take her away from the people who neglected her and treated her like “supply and demand” the exporter's words.
We are on Gofundme to help fundraise and fight for Coco legally, and hopefully, make an offer to the exporter to adopt, and keep Coco in Canada! She is our baby girl and we are praying for her well-being every day.
We are grateful to everybody who hears the story and fights to keep Coco in Canada where she belongs.

Sincerely,
Graydon & Nina
