Save Lebanon Township - Stop NAR’s Pot Factory

THE THREAT OF AN INDUSTRIAL POT FACILITY STILL LOOMS OVER LEBANON TOWNSHIP.

The Lebanon Township Board of Adjustment is reviewing an application by the Nar Group, Inc. (“NAR”) to establish an industrial marijuana production warehouse in the Township’s Resource Conservation Zone. Save Lebanon Township Coalition (“SLTC”) is leading the community’s opposition to this pot factory and will only succeed with your support.

PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT - WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY!

NAR’s proposed pot factory is located at 62 Anthony Road at the end of Woodglen Road. The Township’s ordinances prohibit all marijuana businesses in the Township, yet NAR thinks their factory should be allowed. It would bring to our community the risks that come with a high-security, industrial marijuana production warehouse: ground water consumption, wastewater production, excessive noise, noxious odors, all-night light pollution, 24-foot sound barrier walls, and decreased property values. It would operate within a few feet of the Spruce Run stream in the Township’s Highlands Preservation zone.

The people of Lebanon Township never, ever wanted this kind of factory in their community. NAR only got this far because residents were kept in the dark and not well served by former Township officials. NAR’s primary owners do not live in the Township but stand to gain millions of dollars from getting this factory approved. They hired expensive, high-powered lawyers and sued the Township. Thanks to the legal efforts of SLTC, that lawsuit has stalled, so those same expensive, high-powered lawyers just filed NAR’s application with the Board of Adjustment.

Up until now, all legal expenses in opposing NAR have been paid by individual Township residents. But those funds are exhausted and additional funds are needed for the professional services to oppose NAR at the Board of Adjustment. It is important to understand that the Township and the Board of Adjustment are not opposing NAR’s application. SLTC is the community’s only hope to prevent NAR’s unwanted factory from becoming a reality. That is why we started this fundraiser.

PLEASE DON’T WAIT UNTIL IT’S TOO LATE AND THEN ASK, “HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?”

All donations will be used to pay outside professional fees to oppose NAR’s project, locally and in court. All work by SLTC members is 100% volunteer time. Save Lebanon Township Coalition is a grassroots nonprofit organization, tax exempt under I.R.C. §501(c)(3), dedicated to protecting the rural character, clean water supply and pristine environment of Lebanon Township –“Preserving our way of life.”
