Stop Longmeadow Toll Bridge

Donation protected
Our battle continues.  Joshua Barney, our attorney,  is due back in court June 2nd.  While the court has lifted the temporary injunction and construction continues, we won't stop fighting and we need your help more than ever!  Thanks to everyone who has donated to get us this far, please share our request for funding.

Kane County, Illinois wants to build a 4-lane, 5-mile road and toll bridge through public lands, in particular the largest pristine waterfront property remaining on the Fox River and the largest intact example of functional FEN/wetlands in the entire 202-mile stretch of the Fox River. This will further threaten endangered species there including the Rusty Patched Bumble Bee, which is near the brink of extinction.

The Federal Highway Administration recently ruled that there will be "no significant impact" from the project based on an outdated study. We want to challenge that ruling in federal court.

Help us save three public forest preserves, a neighborhood park, our quality of life, and most especially, the Rusty Patched Bumble Bee. Thank you!
