I never thought I’d be the person writing a GoFundMe at 47 ♀️ but here we are.
Over the past several months, I’ve been navigating a sudden life transition while living on SSDI due to long-term health issues. I’m doing my best to manage housing and basic living expenses while legal matters are still in progress and things are, frankly, unresolved.
I’ve lived in and cared for this home for years, along with my cat (Miss Moxie and puppy (miss Gemma) Staying here is the most stable and realistic option for us. A one-bedroom apartment would cost nearly the same and come with significantly more disruption — which I’m trying very hard to avoid. Right now.
I’m working to catch up on overdue rent and utilities while covering everything on my SSDI income alone. It’s tight.
I’m staying organized, advocating for myself, and doing what I can until my next court date in February, when financial responsibilities should be clarified.
Funds from this fundraiser will go directly toward:
• Back rent
• The upcoming month’s rent
• Overdue PG&E and water bills
• Basic necessities and care for my cat and dog.
Anything beyond that helps me stay stable, housed, and focused on my health while I get through this chapter — ideally without adding “unexpected eviction” to the list. I’m not great at asking for help, but I’m doing it now so I can stay safe, housed, and moving forward.
If you’re able to donate or share, thank you. It genuinely means more than I can put into words.
