As we all know, the past have been a very hard years for all of us: the years of disease, death, stagnation, isolation with many people losing their lives, homes, jobs, or mental health. With the creation of the album Princess, I would like to return a little diamond, a little princess that catches the rainbow of beautiful experiences to this storm.

This is Stony Sugarskull's (Berlin) crowdfunding campaign for the production and presentation of the album Princess (a mix of kraut-, psych-, punk- and indie-rock, shoegaze or rock 'n' roll). Inspired by the Velvet Underground or Mazzy Star, Stony Sugarskull started in 2015 and the debut album LiONESS was released in 2020. In that same year, Stony met Franz Bargmann (Michael Rother/Neu!, Camera) at her art show in Wedding, Berlin, they hit it off and ended up playing together in her studio basement, selected live shows and set up regular live-streams; at the same time working towards new material during locked-in times. Now Stony reached the stage and went to the studio, hit the record button with Kristian Bell (Wytches) and collected little diamonds to share with you.

Currently, we are in the so-called in-between mid- or post-production phase, outlining and -sketching the final stages of mastering, music video, vinyl design, order of songs, tour booking, etc. The official release for PRiNCESS is set for autumn 2022 when Covid19 restrictions will have been lessened with an exclusive live performance, imagined from an ancient cathedral preferably.
With this fundraiser, I'd like invite to invite you to become part of this exciting project. With your donation, we will be able to go to professionally mix, master, make videos/photos, press the desired vinyl and organise the release events. I will regularly post about our latest creations and document all the steps we will be taking from the production phase to the release show.
