Stone is a bold, feminist short film reimagining the myth of Medusa to break the silence around sexual violence. Silence and systemic failure are still everywhere, and this film is our response: a story that gives voice to survivors in a way that feels both urgent and deeply human.

Our team is made up of artists, survivors, and allies who believe in the power of cinema to confront injustice, give a platform to silenced victims, and reclaim myths that were once used against women. This story is deeply personal to us.

Through a blend of gritty realism and haunting surrealism, Stone pulls audiences directly into Medusa's world, to feel the weight of her trauma and the power of her transformation. It’s raw, poetic, and ultimately, empowering.

Filming begins in November 2025, with post-production and scoring set through the end of the year and into early 2026. We're aiming to complete the film by May 1st, 2026, to be eligible for local festivals. Every dollar raised will go directly toward bringing this vision to life:

Pre-Production: insurance, location permits, and equipment
Production: props, costumes, and food for our dedicated crew
Post-Production: editing, sound, score, and color work to shape the film’s emotional tone
Festival Run & Distribution: getting Stone seen by audiences around the world and creating space for survivors’ stories

At its heart, Stone is for every survivor who’s ever been made to feel like the villain for telling the truth. By supporting this film, you’re helping us turn an ancient myth into a modern story of resilience, reclamation, and power. It's proof that silence can be broken, and that survival itself is an act of defiance.
