STONE BIRDS – A CSU Production III Film
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and fellow filmmakers,
We are seeking funding for the CSU Production III short film, Stone Birds– a gripping and thought-provoking short that explores the intensity of youth, loyalty, and the consequences of reckless actions. Written and directed by Malakee McGuier, This film follows two college-aged outcasts –too old to be boys but barely men– living on the fringes of society, doing what they must to survive. Their lives spiral out of control when a seemingly harmless theft leads to tragic consequences, throwing their relationship and their lives, into question.
Stone Birds is a uniquely powerful film in its honest portrayal of friendship, morality, and survival in a world where the lines between right and wrong blur. The deep, emotional characters played by actors Wyatt Woods and Isaiah Hale paired with haunting visuals imagined by director of photography Anna Pizon, Stone Birds invites its audience into a world where loyalty and self-preservation collide, forcing its characters—and its audience—to confront the painful choice of deciding when to hold on and when to let go.
The film's producer, Grace Prentice is collecting funds on behalf of the production and those involved in bringing it to the screen. Donations will go to feeding our cast and crew, production design, location fees, and special effects makeup.
Every donation will receive a special thanks in the credits, as well as a link to the film once it has been finished.
Donations over $100 will receive an executive producer credit.
Of course, any contribution, including sharing this fundraiser, is greatly appreciated!
