Stolen Scouting Trailer Replacement

Tax deductible
Homenetmen Massis Chapter (BSA Troop, Crew, and Pack 1918) has been serving the Youth of the San Fernando Valley through our Scouting Program since 1979.  We currently have 67 boys and girls who meet weekly and participate in Camps, Hikes, and Backpacking Trips throughout the year.  On the evening of November 9th or early morning November10th, our Scouting Equipment Trailer, along with all of its contents was stolen from our Youth Center in Canoga Park.  The thieves stole all of our flags, tents, folding tables, EZ Ups, cooking utensils, double burner stoves, propane canisters,  patrol boxes, pioneering posts, rope, lanterns, t-shirts, arts and crafts items.  Although we have filed a police report and are seeking assistance from our insurance carrier, it appears we will have to self fund most, if not all, of the costs associated with replacing our equipment.  We need to replace all of it and would like to buy/build a permanent shed on site to protect our equipment from being hooked onto the back of a truck and driven away again.  Whether you can contribute $10 or $1,000, know that you will make a huge impact on our Scouts and the activities they can participate in over the next couple of years.  Homenetmen is a 501c3 non-profit organization.  Please check with your accountant for tax deductibility of your donation.  Thank YOU, one and all, for your generosity.  We promise to be Thrifty with your donations and get the most out of each dollar contributed to support our Scouts and their outdoor activities.
