Hello,

My name is Tyler. I am a photographer based in Melbourne, Australia.

On Sunday the 25th of January, I opened my camera bag to find that well over $15,000 worth of my photography gear had been stolen from it.

As a photographer and human who spends a significant portion of his life in hospital and/or bedridden due to chronic and genetic health conditions such as severe Gastroparesis, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, POTS, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue and quite a few more conditions on top of those, it took me well over 8 years of putting my body on the line to give my clients the photos they deserve to save up and purchase this gear, which in turn helped me produce even better results for my clients.

Outside of my client based work, I create photographic art that rasies awareness and starts conversations around mental health, physical health, female empowerment, as well as many other important causes, which I create, print and exhibit all around the world. I want to help make the world a better place through my art.

To discover that my gear had been stolen didn't just feel like a theft of gear, it felt like a theft of a huge part of my soul, as I put my entire being into creating my art, often ending up in hospital or bedridden for months to do so.

Sadly due to my constant high cost medical bills and a lack of being physically able to work due to my health over the last 18 months, I haven't been able to afford insurance, so there is no way of recovering any of the gear via that method.

While not a replacement of my entire list of gear that was stolen, below is the gear that I intend to spend any funds raised on, as this is the gear that will allow me create the majority of my work.

I originally had some different gear listed and a higher donation goal, but I have decided to be more realistic in what I absolutely need that would get the job done.
