My name is Tammy Fairley. As most of you know I have been a Basic Life Support instructor for 32 years now. I have spent the last 17 of those years traveling around the state training foster parents so that they can care for children in need. On June 17th at 3:16 am I was robbed. I was on the road teaching. I was asleep in my hotel in Sumner WA when two young men in a black BMW pulled up to my Suburban outside and tried to take it. When they could not hot wire it they smashed the steering column and took everything in the vehicle that they could fit into theirs.
The security camera saw most of it but so far there are no leads. My alarm was going off, but no one inside heard it. They took my entire livelihood. $9840.00 in CPR & First Aid equipment not to mention my jacket that had my father’s Air Force patch sown inside that can never be replaced. It was also Father’s Day the next day as well as the anniversary of my dad’s passing to rub salt into all of this nightmare.
I have never been the type of person to ask for help but this was a big blow. My insurance will not cover any of it unfortunately, so I am left with no other choice than to ask for some help. Please do not feel obligated to donate but if you can maybe share this that would be wonderful. I just need help so I can continue to stay in business and also do my volunteer teaching as well.
