Stolen Car - Ben needs a "new to him" car
Donation protected
Hello, Browser/Friend/Stanger/Family,
On the morning of 9/9/22, I woke up and prepared for an interview (since I am looking for a new opportunity); I dressed up and walked to my driveway to find my car missing, glass all over the driveway. All I can say is I had locked it before going in for the night. Sadly, someone decided that my car was more important to them than it was to me.
Some people may be reading this and asking themselves, didn't you have one of these before? Yes, in 2019, someone stole all my belongings from my storage unit; in 2022, someone stole the last thing I had to my name. I feel weird, but I need to ask for help again; nothing more embarrassing than having to ask AGAIN. If all you can afford is a kind text, email or words, I am happy to receive them. Without a car, the adventure of gaining new employment is much more difficult. With car prices being inflated, this is not a great time to look, but this is the situation.
I ask, even if you just read the story and share it with one friend, I would be more than grateful. If you have any questions or positive vibes to send, please reach out. I am going to be as open to this as I can.
Thank you for taking a moment to read/share my weird situation.
-Ben
Things you should know
- My vehicle was in my driveway, as it is every night
- The car was locked because, if you know me, I hit lock at least four times before hanging my keys
- I still have both copies of my key, so they had to break the window and hotwire
- I have filed a claim and contacted the Police. Sadly the chances of finding are low.
- I live in a good neighborhood with wonderful neighbors; I just have bad luck
- Donations will go towards three things, towards car, gas and rental car until new car can be obtained.
