Stoffel's Full Length Album Fund!
Donation protected
For those of you who don’t know us, we’re Stoffel, a four piece hard rock group from Seattle, WA. An eclectic mix of mean, riff-driven guitar, jazzy, melodic bass, and intricate, if unconventional time signatures, the end result really tumbles out something more akin to Grunge of the ‘80s and ‘90s. If you’re wondering how that strange and disjointed description could possibly fit together, check us out! Our self-titled EP is up on Spotify, iTunes and CD Baby: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stoffel
Now, for those of you who do know us, you know that it’s been an eventful year and a half since our founding at the end of 2014. A bumpy ride to say the least, the time that we’ve spent together has been awash in a relentless sea of maximal family upheaval and hundred hour work weeks. It’s made for some good music! Through some unexpected turns, we have grown closer than any of us foresaw, and have poured our sweat, exhaustion, loves and losses into a marred, at times confusing, but ultimately honest reflection of our time as a band. We’ve had a blast doing it too, and at long last, we are ready to share our work with all of you in what will be Stoffel’s first full length album.
The songs are done, the excitement is overwhelming, the money is… well that’s where y’all come in. We’ve fallen on some incredibly good fortune in the form of Casual Dog Productions down in Portland, OR, where we will be recording FOR FREE the last two weeks of August. Even still, getting an album off the ground is expensive. The money we are asking for here (the money you are giving, should you choose to donate) will go towards mix down, mastering, distribution (including a vinyl press!), and the talented visual artists that we will be working with to make this album a reality. We know the number is big, and we want to stress that anything at all is hugely appreciated. Seriously, after years of dipping into our own shallow pockets in support of local music, it feels strange asking for money to fund our own work. We understand that even minimal donations come from big hearts, and even those of you who can’t afford a dime mean the world to us. We are so extraordinarily proud of your support.
Now for the good stuff! We’ve made it our goal in this campaign to be all about giving back, and we think that we’ve come up with some pretty darn good rewards. CHECK ‘EM OUT!!!
$15 — A mere $15 gets you an advance copy of the cd, mailed out before the release show.
$40 — A $40 donation gets you a brand spankin’ new Stoffel T shirt (just specify the size you’d like) AND and advance copy of the cd, mailed out before the release show.
$100 — For a whopping $100 donation, you get a limited press copy of the album ON VINYL, a Stoffel T shirt, AND entry to what we are calling the Stoffel Pre-Album Release Album Release Extravaganza. We are holding an exclusive album release show, in our living room, before we actually release the album, and $100 gets you an invite. We are having it catered (all you can eat!) and we will play through the album in its entirety for the first time ever.
$300 — For those over achievers out there, $300 gets you everything mentioned above, and in addition, buys you a personal thank you on all physical albums, AND buys 10 hours of volunteer work between the 4 of us. Now, if you’d like, we will, of course, come scrub your bathroom and mow your lawn in our underwear, but you can also put your hours towards a charity of your choosing (In the Seattle area, and make sure they readily accept volunteers please! We know some organizations have more help than they can handle).
$1000 **GRAND PRIZE** — For the ridiculous sum of $1000 dollars, you win EVERYTHING mentioned above, and in addition… *drumroll* … Alan will pay to have your name tattooed on him in permanent commemoration of the pivotal role you played in sharing our music with the world. Restrictions apply: It does not have to be your name—can be a short phrase, someone else’s name, or the name of an establishment, but if you do choose to go a route other than your actual name, Alan can choose to veto and you’ll have to come up with something else. You pick the font, Alan picks the placement. Last note, this prize is not limited to one claimant, if 10 people each donate a grand, Alan WILL get 10 stupid tattoos!
