We’re Taking on the Mayor’s Charity Abseil for the MS Society!
On Saturday 9th May, we’ll be taking part in the Mayor’s Charity Abseil, stepping off the roof of Stopford House to raise money for three brilliant local causes:
MS Society – Stockport Branch
Stockport Sea Cadets
The New Horizons Canal Boat
For us, this challenge is especially meaningful. We have had direct personal contact with the MS Society, and we’ve seen first hand how vital their support is for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis and their families. Their work in Stockport makes a real difference to local families, and we want to help raise some funds for them.
There’s another special twist for us too…
The abseil is taking place right opposite Stockport Town Hall, where we’ll be getting married on 15th May! So this is not only a fundraiser, but also a slightly nerve‑wracking warm‑up for the big day.
Why we’re doing this
The Mayor’s Charity Abseil raises much needed funds for local organisations that support people in our community. The MS Society in particular is close to our hearts, and every donation big or small, helps them continue their incredible work.
How you can help
If you’re able to donate, we’d be hugely grateful. Your support means so much to us and will help these fantastic local charities continue supporting the people who rely on them.
Thank you for cheering us on!
