Transform a North St. Louis School
Donation protected
We are helping to create a fun, empowering place for children in need to learn in North St. Louis County! In one fun day of service, we will be transforming an abandoned school for a summer program to support underserved children (K-8th Grade) residing in and around Ferguson, Florissant, Moline and Jennings communities. The majority of these kids are underserved and eligible for free or reduced-price lunches. Help make their summer better!
Given the unrest in North St. Louis County as a result of the Ferguson incidents, the safety, joy, and sense of individual greatness is the primary focus of this year’s summer program.
We're fixing up 11 classrooms, bathrooms, the cafeteria and gym. Here are some of the things we'll be doing to get the school ready:
• Painting murals and inspirational messages on walls
• Yard work and gardening to get gardens ready where kids will learn about growing their own food
• Cleaning
• Repairing floors and broken windows
Money raised will go toward things like:
• Educational toys and tools
• Books and other learnng materials
• Playground equipment
• Paint
• Center furnishings
• Floor and window repairs
Also we'd love for you to join us as we put this all together. Volunteers will gather for a day of service on
• Saturday, April 11at 9:00am - 4:00pm
• at 1836 Chambers Road, St Louis, Mo 63136
Please email to register as a volunteer: [email redacted]
