UPDATE: As many of you know, Luca joined the world last month after a long rocky road to get him here. To those who helped get him here, thank you so so much.
Unfortunately last week at 5 weeks postpartum, Julia fell down an entire flight of stairs in her home after handing the baby off to jacob in the wee hours of the morning. During the fall Julia broke her pelvis, her coccyx fractured in two parts and completely broke off of her sacrum. She also sustained whiplash and other more minor injuries.
Surgery for the complete removal of my tailbone is a possibility in the near future.
It’s a long journey to healing, but we are asking for help in medical bills and support for the recovery time. As many of you know Julia had severe complications during her pregnancy which already set the family back greatly. Any and all support is so appreciated. Any and all donations are so appreciated and will go toward the cost of medical bills, hospital stays, and procedures. Thank you to each and every one of you who donate, no matter the amount, we appreciate you!
Hello friends and family!
Jacob and julia are in need of our help! As some of you know, Julia has multiple pre existing health conditions. Because of this, she was told that she likely could not have a biological child. In June, Jacob and Julia found out that they are pregnant with their first baby, due on Valentine’s Day, much to their shock, joy and surprise ♥️
Though EXTREMELY grateful for this incredible news; very soon into Julia’s pregnancy her health deteriorated drastically. This summer she was unable to work due to severe nausea and vomiting, which required IV fluids twice a week. This lasted for the full first and second trimester of her pregnancy.
In her second trimester, she developed a worrisome heart condition called left atrial enlargement and sinus tachycardia which causes an extremely high heart rate, high blood pressure, as well as swelling. All of this needs constant monitoring.
On top of this, she also developed carpal tunnel in both hands and plantar fasciitis in both feet (which makes working as a potter extra challenging!)
Now in their third trimester, she has gone into premature labor three times due to an underlying health condition. There have been many ER visits and labor and delivery admissions. Her doctors have suggested partial bed rest all throughout her pgrenancy; but as many of you know, Julia is a self employed artist. Jacob and their families have done their best to support through this time;
But with stacking medical bills and Julia’s inability to work—we are reaching out to our community to ask for any help you can offer to help get their family off on the right foot. With only two weeks left before the baby’s arrival, they have spent their maternity leave savings on medical and home bills to make it through the pregnancy.
Any and all donations are so appreciated and will go toward the cost of medical bills, hospital stays, and Julia’s bed rest and maternity leave. Thank you to each and every one of you who donate, no matter the amount, we appreciate you!
Thank you for helping us bring our little valentine into the world safe and sound.
