Hey all. It’s difficult for me to even type the words here. However, my sweet girl needs surgery. From chemo stopping bone growth as a baby and chronic thumb sucking in childhood, she’s damaged her palate AND caused her facial bones to shift, causing pain and infection in her sinuses. She will need surgery to correct her facial bones before they will do her braces and expander. Her insurance (as many insurances) has determined what is “best” for her and will cover all but $1600, and we need that to get her scheduled. As a single mom, it’s just not something I can pull out of thin air. So I’m reaching out. I’ve seen what communities and villages can do, and I’d love to tell her we don’t have to worry about how we are going to make this happen. You all know what she’s been through in her 16 years of life and I want to make sure she is always taken care of. She deserves it.
