Help me help Stitch receive care for liver failure

Hi my name is Adrienne. And who you see here is my sweet cat Stitch.
He is 3 years old and loves everyone. He loves to be picked up, held, talked to, pet. He is described by friends as “cuddly and so tolerant” of all animals and people of all ages.
I got Stitch at 10 weeks old, when my puppy developed anxiety and needed a buddy at home. The two bonded and played together in a way I’ve never seen a cat and a dog do before.
This past September we rescued a kitten that had been neglected and abandoned at less than 7 weeks old. From the moment Stitch laid eyes on her, he started purring. They have been inseparable since. I like to call him the best mom any male cat could be. He truly believes it’s his job to take care of care of her and she loves him so dearly.
Early morning mid January, I woke up to him throwing up. This happened 11 more times throughout the day. He also had stopped eating for a couple days. I took him to the nearest vet, they did bloodwork, X-rays, and found nothing. Gave him some meds and sent him home with more, said if he doesn’t start eating soon bring him back.
He had been back twice more, re-ran the tests, ran new ones. He’s not getting better.
the fluids they gave him helped for a month, but 3 days ago it came back, this time worse than ever.
His vet bills have been $3000 so far with no answers. He’s still not eating or using the litter box. They sent his ultrasound to a specialist and suspect liver failure as he is now jaundiced.
he has a long road of recovery ahead. A month of specialized diet through a feeding tube, 4 times a day, and if he’s is in the 80% to overcome it, will need a specialized diet for life.
My pet insurance won’t cover anymore.
I feel like I’m asking for a lot. I only made this because my sister suggested it. I planned to try and make it work. But I have no idea how. But my poor baby deserves this second chance. He’s so young, and otherwise healthy.
