Hello. My name is Leigh Ann. I have spent most of my adult life helping animals in need. I have a small, self-supported cat sanctuary that my husband and I have created by saving at-risk and special needs community cats. We can handle the day-to-day care, but I have found myself facing an unexpected surgery to save one of our cats. I have created this GoFundMe in hopes that you can help us help him.
Stinka came to me at about a week old. He had been found alone in someone's yard. They reached out for help, so I took him and bottle-fed him, and he grew into a happy and healthy kitty. That was 4.5 years ago. He has been a healthy cat until Saturday night when we realized he was having problems using the bathroom. It didn't take long to realize that he had a urinary blockage. We rushed him to Valley ER, where he has been since. We thought he would be okay and able to come home today, but he blocked again before that could happen. We were given an estimate for his treatment at Valley at just over $5,000.00. He now has to have PU surgery at another facility tomorrow. I will transport him from the ER to AMC of Frederick Co. I'm not sure of the exact cost at this time, but I do know that it will be at least $2,000.00. I am in need of some help to pay for the surgery and the care he is receiving at Valley leading up to it. There is no donation too small, as we can use any and all help that can be given. Thank you!
