Over the past year, I’ve done everything I could to stay on my feet.

After health setbacks and mounting financial pressure, I made the difficult decision to live in my van so I could stabilize instead of falling further behind. It wasn’t easy, but it allowed me to keep working, keep paying what I could, and remain independent.

My van isn’t just transportation — it’s my home and my livelihood. It’s also the space I share with my three dogs. They are my grounding point through all of this. No matter how difficult things have been, they’ve kept me steady, responsible, and moving forward. They depend on me, and that responsibility matters deeply to me.

By Thanksgiving, I had no choice but to forfeit a high-interest vehicle loan. Losing that vehicle was a major setback, but I didn’t quit. A good friend helped me get into another van so I could continue working delivery and rebuilding.

This week, everything came to a stop.

The alternator failed and the serpentine belt snapped. Without those repairs, the van won’t run. Without the van, I can’t work. And without work, I can’t fix it.

Asking for help isn't something my pride admires, and it has taken me everything to resort to this.

I’ve set a goal of $1,000 to cover:

A replacement alternator

A new serpentine belt

Installation and related costs

Basic essentials while I’m temporarily off the road

I’m not asking for someone to solve my life. I’m asking for a bridge — a way to get back on the road so I can continue earning and standing on my own.
