Still Running for the Helmeted Honeyeater

Hello everyone!
Last year in April, I successfully completed the Mornington Half Marathon and with your help raised funds for the Friends of the Helmeted Honeyeater (FoHH) and its Youth Reference Group (YRG) that I am a proud volunteer member of.
Now I am back at it again, but this time attempting a FULL marathon! That's right 42.2 KM!
So to commemorate National Threatened Species Day and all the hard work done for our threatened species I am aiming to raise more money to continue to support the amazing work FoHH do for our critically endangered Victorian Fauna Emblem.

With this group relying heavily on volunteers like myself, any donation will help make a positive impact towards protecting this stunning species and its unique ecosystem in the Yellingbo ranges.

This beautifully diverse ecosystem also hosts our other Fauna Emblem, the critically endangered Lowland Leadbeater's Possum. With both of these species only found in these ranges in Victoria, their survival solely depends on us and the efforts we make to ensure they remain and endure.

One of the ways we ensure this continual survival is through learning about not only these incredible species but the other fauna and flora that share their home. This is achieved through citizen science that the FoHH conduct by the volunteers such as those in the YRG. As such, these funds raised will be utilised by the YRG to continue provide opportunities for the future conservationists of tomorrow to learn and therefore protect our precious flora and fauna futures.

On the 13th of October, I will be running the Nike Melbourne Marathon as a continuation of my own fitness journey, but I again wanted to ensure my success did not just benefit me but also support something I care deeply about. That is why I aim to raise $10 for each kilometres I run. Every donation big or small will help make a significant positive difference to this amazing group.

Though if you cannot donate, please follow and support me and FoHH on our journeys and if you do have the time consider volunteering at your local 'friends of' group as it is a deeply rewarding experience.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me! <3
