Earlier this year, I was blown away by the kindness and generosity of friends, fellow musicians, and supporters who helped me raise $6,000 to keep a roof over my kids’ heads and my small home recording studio running. That support quite literally kept us from losing everything, and I’ll never forget it.

Since then, I’ve continued working hard — producing records, mixing projects, and rebuilding my client base after a long post-Covid recovery. The studio is back at full capacity, but the reality is that the cost of living in Toronto has continued to climb faster than my income has stabilized. Between higher utilities, ongoing studio expenses, and slow winter months, I’m once again falling behind on rent and bills.

I’ve cut every cost I can, taken on extra projects for a 50% discount, and paid down a lot of the debt that was left from the last few years. But right now, I’m at a breaking point again. My landlord has been patient, but they are still trying to evict me for paying rent late a year ago. I am current with November‘s rent, because I’ve offered repeat clients a 50% discount. But I don’t know how I’m going to get through the next couple of months with the amount of bookings I have. I’m short $7200 that I need to stay housed, and do some advertising to keep the studio running through the winter while I catch up.

I’m humbly asking for help one more time to get through this stretch and avoid losing both my home and the studio — which is how I support my family and local Toronto artists. Every contribution, big or small, truly makes a difference, and if you can’t donate, even sharing the link helps tremendously.
