Our amazing little dog Yukon is fighting for his life.
At only five years old and seemingly very healthy, he’s been diagnosed with severe Lymphangiectasia and idiopathic pleural effusion out of the blue. Two serious conditions that have led to a terrifying health crisis. He recently underwent major surgery, had a pleural port installed, and is now having daily octreotide injections at home. Although he is recovering from surgery, he still has a long road ahead.
Yukon is so much more than our dog. He is our world, our best friend. He’s silly, gentle, sweet, and full of love. He’s brought us comfort and joy every day of his life, and now we’re doing everything we can to fight for his.
That being said, we’re struggling to keep up with the overwhelming and astronomical medical bills, and his insurance has not covered anything. We’ve poured absolutely 110% of everything we have into his care, and now we’re asking for help - something we don’t do lightly.
If you can donate or share, we’d be deeply grateful. Yukon has so much life left to live, and we’re not ready to give up.
Thank you for supporting our boy.
With love,
Laurel and Ben (Yukon's parents)
