Stickles Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kendra Gaines. I am a friend of the Stickles family; Sean, Rebecca, Gabe, Alabama and Payton.
I created this GoFundMe to raise money for them.
On Sunday, January 10th, very early in the morning, their home caught fire. The fire began in the living room. Thankfully the fire alarm alerted them of the danger and they were able to get out of the house safely. The fire was extinguished before the entire house was engulfed or any other homes were damaged.
However, the fire destroyed most of their possessions and those things remaining were heavily damaged by smoke and soot.
The money from this fundraiser will be used to replace all the items lost in the fire:
-Furniture for the living room, bedrooms and dining room, i.e., sofas, tables, beds, dressers, etc.
-Kitchen items; everything from cups, plates and silverware to appliances and cookware were lost.
-Electronics; TV's, computers, harddrives, etc. all were destroyed or melted.
-Clothes; everyone's clothes were heavily damaged by smoke. This includes shoes, jackets, pants, shirts, etc.
-Toys, games, stuffed animals, etc.
The sooner this money can be gotten to the Stickles family, the sooner they can begin creating a new home. They are currently looking for a new rental.
I consider the Stickles family as near and very dear friends. They are some of the kindest and big hearted people I know. Always working to improve themselves and the lives of others, near and far. Their hearts hold a passion to make the world a far happier and better place.
Even with the tragic loss of their possessions and home they smile. They smile because of how much care they have seen since the fire began. Neighbors, fireman, Red Cross and Volunteer Ministers came to help sift through the debri, salvage items if possible, bring food and water, haul away trash and some even contributing money. So warmed by the actions of others they find reason for joy.
Please contribute anything you can to help the Stickles family get back on their feet. They need our help.
It would mean the world to see their smiles from the efforts of this fundraiser. To see the children replace the loss with joy, creating anew.
I would be so grateful to all and I think I safely speak for the Stickles by saying, so will they.
