Victims of St.George Bombing-Tanta

An explosion ripped through St. George Church in the central Delta city of Tanta, Egypt on Sunday morning as Copts were attending Palm Sunday service, leaving more than 37 killed and many more injured.

The explosion occurred as Christians across Egypt mark Palm Sunday at the start of Holy Week, which concludes with Easter Sunday on 16 April, during which Christians celebrate the Resurrection.

It breaks our hearts that our beloved church has once again been targeted. This is now becoming too common. But we will not be shaken, nor will we live in fear. We pray for the victims and their families. May God grant them peace and comfort during these excruciatingly difficult times.

As most of you know this is the church Fr. Angelos served in so he knows most of the victims.  All the money raised will be going directly to the victimes and their families. How the funds will be disturbuted is still being worked out, but as of now Fr. Angelos will be deliviering the money to each family directly.

Thank you all for your donations.
