Leia is our 4 year old pug, who lives and breathes as the freest dog and creature that ever was. She’s a gentle soul in a small wrinkled body, she is a constant reminder of all the love in the world to those lucky enough to meet her, she spreads joy anywhere she goes, and lights up every room she walks into. A couple of months ago we noticed Leia had begun limping. We took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with a luxating patella. Her knee is fragile and worn, and can no longer carry her the way it used to. We got her pet insurance but we were scammed and the insurance will NOT cover the surgery. Every step is a struggle, and the playful light in her eyes dims under the weight of discomfort. The path to healing lies in surgery, A difficult but necessary step to restore her mobility.
