Stewie's Financial and Medical Situation

Hi, my name is Dave and some of you might know me as Stewie. I am fundraising for myself due to a recent serious medical diagnosis.

I had been an EMT for 28 years before changing my profession to the job I was working when my medical emergency occurred. As a first responder, I know firsthand what people go through when they get diagnosed with different illnesses. I also am aware of how stressful it can be on the family and the person who has the illness.

In my spare time, for as long as I can remember, I've loved being a fire photographer. While doing this, I saw how quickly the fires caused complete devastation and hardships for the individuals involved. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to get through situations like this. Unfortunately, I have had to give this up due to my illness.

On July 11, 2023, I suffered a medical emergency and was required to be hospitalized at two different hospitals. Finally, on July 25, 2023, I was officially diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which has left me with damage to my hearing and vision, completely blind in my left eye and very poor vision in my right eye. This diagnosis has left me unable to work and I had not accrued any sick time at my new job. The stress of not getting the diagnosis quickly and the hardship of trying to find applicable resources has added a considerable amount of stress to me.

Due to my current circumstances, I am not able to work, pay my medical or household bills and am in jeopardy of losing my housing. I know everyone is struggling right now and living paycheck to paycheck and I don't expect anyone to take from their own families to help me. Anything that you can give would greatly be appreciated even if it's words of encouragement.
