Stewart’s Last Days

Stewart Stanfield is a Brazoria County Sheriff Deputy. He started out working as a deputy in the correction facility, went to patrol a while, (pictured above during Harvey) and is now a mental health deputy.
Last year, Stewart went through chemo to fight bladder cancer. Complications from chemo put him in the hospital many times. Finally, in October, he had his cancer surgery and was told he was cancer free.
Two weeks ago he went to the ER with terrible pain. We were told his cancer was back and has now spread to his liver and bones. The cancer is incurable at this point.
Last year he was unable to work much of the time and used up over 400 hours of sick time, vacation time, holiday, and everything he had accumulated. Now he is facing this illness with only 25 hours of time left.
The donated funds will help pay medical expenses still owed from last year, medical expenses for this year, regular monthly expenses in lieu of a paycheck, and, hopefully, money to pay for a trip to Arkansas for Stewart to visit his father one last time.
Stewart has lived his life helping others. As a Brazoria County Mental Health Deputy, his purpose in going to work each day was only to help others.
Please help him now in his time of need. Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated and helpful.

Update: 3/5/19
Stewart is out of the hospital and at home. He had a PET scan today which showed the cancer is in his liver, pelvic bone, and spine. Although the cancer is incurable at this stage, immunotherapy and radiation will prolong his time. He cannot do chemo again due to all the complications he had from chemo last year and due to how quickly the cancer came back after chemo was finished.
The doctor has given him a time frame anywhere from 3-12 months.
Continued prayers are very much appreciated.
