Please join us in supporting the cancer treatment of Stewart Kitts. Father, husband, brother, teacher, and one-of-a-kind performer.
Stewart is a third-generation professional violinist who began taking lessons at age 5 by his teacher and grandfather, Otto Frey. His passion for music and talent would be evident from a young age. His early accomplishments include soloing with the University of Florida Symphony at age 10, and becoming the youngest member of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra at age 14. Stewart would continue his trajectory throughout his youth and study with famed teacher Ivan Galamian at the Meadowmount School of music, and James Buswell at Indiana University. After college, Stewart held the position of Associate Concertmaster of the Florida Orchestra for 23 years. He is currently the concertmaster of the Ocala Symphony and the Villages Philharmonic.
Many know Stewart for his awe-inspiring performances. However, his other love lies in shaping the next generation of artists. He continued in his own tradition and immersed his daughters in music - both of whom are professional violinists that frequently perform by his side. Stewart currently resides in Gainesville, where he shares a teaching studio - Celebration Suzuki Strings with his sister Jennifer Kitts Guzman. Stewart and Jennifer bring their passion and expertise to their community through individual lessons, group lessons, and Celebration String Orchestra.
Stewart recently received a cancer diagnosis that requires surgery and hefty medical expenses. Our family humbly asks that you support and aide in easing him through this challenging time. Donations of any kind are greatly appreciate. Please help Stewart get back on his feet, and the stage, sharing his gift for years to come.

- In addition to Stewart’s GoFundMe fundraising page, a donation based concert will be held on Monday, November 14th at 7pm at North Lake Presbyterian Church in Lady Lake, FL. You will hear Stewart perform alongside members of his family and The Villages Philharmonic led by Pasquale Valerio. Many thanks to both Pasquale and the North Lake Presbyterian Church for hosting this event.
