Down ... but not out!!

After what we can only imagine was a rough life on the streets, handsome 12-year-old Stewart found himself in a kill shelter. Covered in tar, muck, and mats. Sneezing terribly and drooling excessively. It was looking pretty bad for Stewart but someone stepped up and offered to foster him and The Grannie Project was able to pull him in the nick of time!
But poor Stewart was sicker than we thought, and it took many different treatments and lots of love and care from an army of fosters for him to finally start to get better. But the terrible drool just keep coming :( His mouth was covered in sores and teeth that just fell right out of his mouth (Literally, when our vet examined him - pop! Out onto the table. If you want to see the photo, email us - it's gross so we won't post it here).
We booked Stewart in to see a veterinary dental specialist who could help this sad soul and he was due to go next week. But this morning his foster mama found him lying in his own waste, bleeding from both sides of his mouth! We rushed him in to the vet where he is currently undergoing emergency surgery to try to help relieve his pain and fix his terrible teeth. He is likely to lose all of them but we know that doesn't matter much to a kitty!
What does matter is that we can help him. But it's costly and we can't do it without you! Please, consider contributing to Stewart's surgery - $1, $10, $25 ... every single dollar helps! And your donations are tax-deductible as The Grannie Project is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization.
If you can't help out today, we surely understand. But please consider sharing our cause with your friends! And of course, Stewart needs all of the love and prayers and positive energy we all can muster!
