WHO ARE WE?

We are the Stewards of McCarren Park, a volunteer group committed to the cleanliness and safety of McCarren Park in Brooklyn, New York.

StoMP hosts morning cleanups every Sunday at 9:30am. Having just started in April of this year, we have grown from 2 to over 15 weekly volunteers, cleaned up more that 200 lbs of trash and 1000 gallons of leaves throughout the park!

WHY ARE WE RAISING FUNDS?

We want to buy one trash can. That's it! McCarren Park needs 60. A new trash can holds more trash than the ones currently lining the athletic fields. Newer metal casings will improve rat mitigation. One new trash can is $1200.

This is our first comedy night, and if all goes well, we plan to host more and incrementally raise for the rest!
