This is one of the hardest things that I have ever had to write about, but as many of you already know, my sweet cousin, Stevie Lia Stark, tragically took her own life yesterday. Stevie was 24 and had struggled with depression and anxiety for years. Sadly her boyfriend of four years also took his own life just last month. Her parents and her 12 year old sister, Sarah, are distraught over her passing as well as the rest of her family and friends. I am not a parent yet, but I cannot imagine what my aunt is going through, parents are not suppose to prepare funeral arrangements for their children, it's suppose to be the other way around. There is no life insurance and her parents need help to pay for the funeral expenses. So on behalf of her parents I am asking for donations to cover Stevie's funeral. My hope is to raise $7,000. If you or anyone that you know has it in their heart to contribute any amount large or small, it would be greatly appreciated. If the total that I raise exceeds what is needed to cover the funeral expenses, the extra money will be donated to Zarephath Christian Church in Somerset. Recently, Stevie along with her mom, her sister and a friend attended a few services there, and during one of those visits Stevie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior. Prayers for our family to get through this difficult time will also be appreciated.
