If you haven’t already met him, this is Stevie! He has been by my side for the past 7 years and is one of the bestest boys ever. If you don’t believe me, ask anyone that has ever met him. Stevie brings joy to everyone he meets and is a constant source of unconditional love for Rylie (his sister) and I. We are so lucky to have him in our lives.

On Wednesday, October 1st, our vet diagnosed a small lump I had recently found near Stevie’s right hip as a mast cell tumor (MCT). They can cause allergic reactions all over the body at any time, including hives and anaphylaxis. Stevie is scheduled for surgery in December to remove the tumor and surrounding tissue. A subsequent biopsy of the removed tissue will identify whether the cancer has spread and help us decide if we need to proceed further with radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will directly fund the medical expenses associated with Stevie’s surgery in December, as well as any of the potential aftercare costs. In the event that everyone’s generosity exceeds the cost of Stevie’s cancer treatment, the extra funds will be donated directly to Town and Country Veterinarian Associates in Vernon, CT. They have been a blessing to my fur babies and I, and it would be an honor to help fund their mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care for pets and their families.
