Stevie Stones, Coast to Coast Challenge

Hi, my names Dave Heathwood and I will be rowing in a kayak, Coast to Coast on the Leeds to Liverpool canal, approximately 130 miles in four days, this is in aid of Stevie stones.

Stevie Stones: Was founded to ensure that all parents who have the misfortune of burying their child, have access to funding to provide a headstone or memorial.

On average a head stone can cost somewhere in the region of £1000, and that cost is unatainable for families who have gone through that suffering and loss. My aim is to raise as much as possible for the charity to provide those unfortunate families the chance to provide a vital service.

I will be taking on this challenge, starting on Friday the 1st of August

my friend Ian Langton will be completing the challenge with me in aid of the sea cadets and prostate cancer, so be sure to check out his link too on crowd fund (epic paddle challenge).

We'll be doing this unaided, they'll be no emergency back up vehicle, we'll carry all our supplies on our kayaks and camp on the side of the canal.
