Stevi's Cancer Fund

October is breast cancer awareness month and we are determined to raise money for our dear friend, Stevi Quick, who was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.   This money will help her to both pay her mounting medical bills and to take some much-needed time off to heal and rest.  When we join together, we find hope in even the most challenging situations.

Stevi has been battling her body for some years, being first diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and later, with Hashimoto’s Disease. She has taken these diagnoses in stride and has worked hard to overcome them through yoga, healthy eating, regular workouts and mindfulness practices. Unfortunately, this past August, she found herself having to fight again when she discovered a large lump in her left breast. She has been diagnosed with stage 3 invasive ductile cancer and is now facing a double mastectomy at the young age of 47 as well as chemotherapy and the threat that the cancer has potentially spread into her lungs, kidney, and bones.

Despite the trials that she is facing, Stevi continues to put others before herself. She is a natural caretaker, skilled massage therapist and yoga teacher, and huge advocate for animals, particularly dogs and horses. She is truly one of the kindest women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and I am proud to call her my friend to help her through this next leg of her journey. Let’s show her that she is not alone, and that community can pull together, now more than ever!
