On the 22nd April I'll be walking non-stop for over 40 miles, from Wembley Stadium to Arsenal, then on to Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham, Chelsea, Fulham, Brentford and back to Wembley.

Why?

Because every 90 minutes in the UK, someone will die by suicide. That's over 6,000 people a year. Every year.

200 of them will be school children.

Over 4,500 will be men.

More than 12,500 people every month are hospitalised in the UK, having attempted to take their own life.

2 in every 3 of us will be touched by suicide during our lifetime.

And yet most suicides are preventable. We have it in our power to make it stop, but meaningful progress costs money.

If no one turns their back, if we all stand together, if we break the taboos and learn how to spot the signs, we can, and we will save lives. We will bring hope.
