In the early hours of Thursday, April 20th, Steve suffered a heart attack and was immediately able to get medical attention which led to a few nights at Henderson Hospital. Unfortunately, a few years back Steve suffered a Widows Maker heart attack, so his heart already had some damage. Both heart attacks combined with a few other medical conditions have made his heart extremely weak.

After being transferred to a different hospital in NV and consulting with a few cardiologists and surgeons, the best course of action is to do a quadruple bypass surgery with the possibility of being put on the heart transplant list, depending.

As of now, Steve has been transferred to USC Keck in Los Angeles, California where he will be prepped for surgery. After surgery, Steve will spend at least 10 days in the hospital with at least an additional 3 days in the LA area before being able to come home.

Lisa, Steve's wife, will be down in California for the foreseeable future staying in a long-term hotel across the stress from the hospital. Brittany, Steve's stepdaughter will be flying back and forth from NV to CA to help Lisa and be there for Steve during and after surgery. (And since I know we are all wondering about the infamous Barkley- he will be staying with Brittany and Sam for the next few weeks!)

Luckily, insurance does help, however, Brittany and I's goal is to help ease the financial stress of any out-of-pocket expenses that continue to arise due to this medical event.
