A Plea for Help in My Brother’s Fight for Stability and Comfort
Life has thrown my family one devastating blow after another. We lost our long-time home to a predatory lender in a fraudulent scheme, stripping away everything we had built over 15 years. Legal battles, financial setbacks, and a dishonest executor have drained our resources, making it nearly impossible to reclaim what was rightfully ours.
But right now, none of that matters more than my brother, Steve. His health has spiraled—his heart is now functioning at just 8%. He’s battling congestive heart failure, diabetes, and sleep apnea. Every night, I watch him struggle to breathe, and it is beyond heartbreaking. We have no family left in California, and he needs to be in Oregon, where his daughter and loved ones can help him get the care and stability he deserves.
I am committed to getting Steve to Oregon myself. He cannot fly, take a train, or ride a bus due to his fragile condition. I will be towing his motorcycle and driving him up, ensuring he gets settled with the support he desperately needs. Once he's safe, I will return to California, where I must figure out my next steps.
This journey is not just about relocating—it’s about giving my brother a fighting chance at comfort, dignity, and love in the time he has left. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help make this possible. If you can help, it would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely, Michael R. Edwards
