Help Lay my Father Steve Quick to rest after battling cancer
Donation protected
My daddy Steve Quick has always been my hero, my biggest fan. He has been at every recital and was the first one at graduation. He has always taken care of me and now it’s our turn to honor him. Daddy was diagnosed with stage four wide spread cancer of the liver, lungs, peritoneal cavity and colon. Daddy was admitted twice over the last two months once in cullman regional ICU and at UAB ICU. We had to make an impossible decision to transition to palliative/comfort care and he passed away with his mother and daughter at his beside . These medical bills are going to be large especially with no insurance and we have had many funeral expenses occur as daddy was only 62 and we didn’t see this coming. I’m trying to help my Grandma as much as possible as no mother should have to bury her baby boy. My daddy was the photographer of the family and he had so many people that loved him! I hope he knew how much he meant to not only me but so many others. The memories I have heard about over the last few days warms my heart. If you are able to help in any way it is greatly appreciated whether it’s to donate or share our story but mostly please pray for comfort during these hard to bare moments, for daddy to have known that he was loved and that he will forever be in my heart. There are so many lives that he touched. I’m learning about how many friends he truly has. Daddy diagnosis was given to him late so we had no time to prepare or even think about what to do especially since daddy didn’t have insurance. I want everyone to know I appreciate every loving word, text, and phone call. There are so many good stories that I am hearing about. Thank you to everyone!!
