Steve's Fight against Synovial Sarcoma

Please help us support our father, Steve Martin.  Please use this go fund me to support our parents in anyway. As many of you know, my dad is known for many different things but most of all is his passion for baseball. When dad played baseball for the Dodgers, he was soon named "Martini". This month has taken a turn for the worst, setting our family up for one of the hardest journeys that we have endured thus far. Mom and Dad returned from their bucket list vacation, on August 31st after spending 2 weeks of lovely vacation in Alaska. That next morning, September 1st, things changed fast. Dad was diagnosed with Stage 3, Synovial Sarcoma in his neck. This cancer is one of the rarest accounting for 1% of all Sarcomas. Dad will be receiving all of his treatment in Phoenix, AZ at the Banner Cancer Center. On 9/27, he started his first round of "AIM" chemotherapy that will last 5 days. On the 6th day he will return home to Flagstaff for 21 days of recovery. He will then return to Phoenix for another 5 day round of Chemo. He potential will have up to 6 rounds of chemotherapy prior to discussion about his laryngectomy and radiation treatment. Our family cannot understand why things like this happen and we never will but what we do know is THE MARTINs are FIGHTERS, and we do not give up. All updates will be on the Facebook group page.
