Steve's Battle with ALS

Hi, my name is Niki and I'm starting this fundraiser for my Dad, Steve, who was diagnosed with ALS 2 years ago. ALS is a fatal motor neuron disease in which the nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain progressively degenerate. At this time there is no cure and treatments are still in trials. This has been a huge blow to our family but my dad has been handling it with strength, courage, and grace. My dad's condition has deteriorated to the point he is struggling with going up and down a simple set of stairs which is the only way to get in/out of his home. Unfortunately, due to the structure of the home a ramp in and out isn't the easy option. He will need an elevator to lift him up and down the back set of stairs, a small deck will need to be built to accommodate his wheelchair to move around and hopefully give him some access to enjoy some time outdoors (as we all learned during COVID that being stuck indoors day in/day out is not good for the soul).

Obviously we wish we were in a position to provide this for him ourselves but at this time we need some help. Whatever you can afford to donate would be amazing, even if it's $5.
