You may know Steven from the band MyParasites and his store, Requiem Oddities. On May 24th, 2016, Steven's world changed with a surprise testicular cancer diagnosis. A routine checkup quickly lead to an urgent ultrasound, then ct scans, and surgery was scheduled immediately once it was determined the masses were cancerous. 
Steven's surgery went well, but he is now out of commission from work while he heals, and awaits the pathology reports to learn what the next step in his treatment will be. 
His wife, Chloe has been by his side while he recuperates, but needs to return to work in order to be able to keep up with their daily expenses.
They thankfully have health insurance, but  co-pays and deductibles compounded with missed work have hit them at a particularly difficult time.  
So far Steve's insurance has denied over $7,000 of his cancer treatment, not including the $15,000 surgical fee that is still 'pending'.
They are going to fight the insurance company tooth and nail, but if they don't budge, Steve and Chloe are going to be on the hook for thousands .
Steven is a father to his 9 year old son, Dexter and to 3 small dogs, and many more pets!
