Steven & Terri's Recovery Fund

Steven and Terri Harteau are two of the most beloved people to those fortunate enough to call them friends. Tireless in their generosity and kindness toward others, the example they set is one any of us could be proud to live up to.

But now it is their time of need.  This past week, on their way to volunteer at a cherished annual gathering, the Cog County Faire, they were involved in a horrific car accident -  an inattentive driver crossed the highway’s centerline and hit them head on.

Terri has been in the ICU, and though her injuries are severe, she should recover in time.  Steven’s path looks much longer.  Both his legs were broken and it will be many months before he can walk again.

It is maddening that such horrendous things seem to happen to the most caring and compassionate people we know.  That is certainly the case here.  Whether we have benefited directly from their kindness or been inspired by it, we have an opportunity to do for them what they would have done for any of us.
