Steven Schneider Medical Expenses
Spende geschützt
Hi, my name is Amanda, Steven is my brother-in-law. Steven was in a life-changing motorcycle accident on Saturday (04/22/2023) afternoon outside of Heppner OR. He was on a ride with friends from his motorcycle club when he hit a bad patch of road and lost control of his bike. He was life-flighted from the scene of the accident to Kadlec Regional Medical Center where he has received around-the-clock care for his critical injuries in the ICU. Steven received 4 emergency surgeries in the first 24 hours post-accident and his care team has since been diligently working to stabilize his vitals while he remains sedated and intubated so his body can get the rest it needs to start healing.
For those of you that know Steven, you know that he loves his wife, their 3 gigantic fur babies, all of their family, his bikes and his guns. Going forward his life will look significantly different. While his injuries are not necessarily life-threatening, he has sustained a limb threatening injury to his right leg. At this time doctors remain hopeful and are doing all that they can to save it. But life going forward will be a challenge. A very rough estimate for recovery as of today was 6 months to a year, including countless hours of rehabilitation, and physical and occupational therapy.
At this time his wife Amiela and immediate family would like to thank you for all of the text messages and calls and offers for meals and the overwhelming amount of positive thoughts, love and prayers that have been sent their way. They have read every message and they know how well Steven is loved. Due to hospital restrictions, they ask that at this time you please refrain from unannounced visits as they are doing their best to find a schedule for the family to be able to see him. If you feel so inclined, a donation to help with medical expenses, loss of wages and meals while they are away from home would be greatly appreciated.
