On Sunday night, October 2nd, Steve had gotten into a severe car accident coming home from the Michigan State Championships of Foosball. He was just 6 miles from the Hilton Garden Hotel in Lansing when he swerved out of the way of a deer. This led to his truck rolling several times, moving into the median. With grave difficulty, Steve was able to pull himself from the remnants of his smashed vehicle. Fortunately, a passing vehicle stopped and the driver called for an ambulance as Steve was unable to speak.
Rollover crashes (ROCs) are among the most dangerous types of car accidents. Although rollovers make up less than 3% of all passenger vehicle accidents, they account for almost 35% of all highway fatalities, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). As a result of Steve's crash, his neck is broken in 2 places, (fractured at C1 and C2) and his body badly beat up. He is currently awaiting a potential surgery. Needless to say, Steve's very lucky to be alive!
I'm asking our Foosball Community, his family, friends and loved ones to come together in his time of need. As we all know, our good friend Steve is a kind-hearted, benevolent man that would move mountains for anyone!
He will be needing the proper funds for any medical expenses as well as any other financial responsibilities he may have while he is on his path to recovery.

Much love and appreciation!
