I am starting this campaign on behalf of my younger brother Steven Mercado.

 

On October 1st, Steven received the most devastating news imaginable. Having gone to urgent care for what he thought was the flu turned out to be kidney cancer that had already metastasized to his lungs. The plan to fight this aggressive form of kidney cancer is immunotherapy. Unfortunately, Steven has been in and out of the hospital because of complications from his treatment.

 

We are still holding on to the hope that he will be able to continue his therapy once his health improves. We are desperately trying to nurse him back to health to make that happen.

 

Anyone who knows Steven can surely appreciate his love of life. He's a friend to many and wants to continue his fight--he's got many more adventures to go on.
