Steven Leggett Kidney Transplant Fund

Hello! My name is Kelsie, and my sister and I are writing on behalf of our father, Steven Leggett. This “Go Fund Me” is new to me, and the only reason we are reaching out is because we need help badly. Our dad Steve will soon be undergoing a kidney transplant at the Mayo Clinic. He has been through a battery a of tests and, thankfully he has qualified. But first: Mayo has determined that Dad needs $10,000 in his bank account in order to meet the expenses that insurance does not cover. This will partially cover the costs of the surgery, follow-up medications and provided care throughout the year.

Growing up in the Leggett family, we didn’t have much financially. However, what we lacked in finances was made up in love. Those who know Dad know he has the kindest brown eyes and he would do anything to help us. We are beyond blessed and honored to call him our father. His grandchildren think “Papa” is the greatest, too!

Our dad has had diabetes since he was a young adult, which has caused many health issues along the way, including CKD (chronic kidney disease). As a result of CKD, our dad was put on dialysis in Spring of 2021. Imagine being hooked up to a machine every night for ten hours. It wears heavily on you, both physically and emotionally. Our dad is only 56 years old. We want him to be able to walk his daughter down the aisle, run with his grandkids, and to enjoy all the life that still awaits him!
